Auto Bid Alert: ROBERT MORRIS

Finally, the slacker half of The March checks in with a modest post. Greetings all. I just watched the Robert Morris Colonials deny the Quinnipiac Bobcats their first ever NCAA bid 52-50. The Bobcats had been undefeated at home this season, but Robert Morris 5'9" freshman fireplug Karon Abraham fearlessly kept the Colonials in the game with timely shooting and gutty drives to the basket, and teammates Velton Jones and Rob Robinson picked a good time (the last 5 minutes of a close game) to record their first field goals of the night. While I feel sad for the disappointed Quinnipiac home crowd seeking to witness history, the plus side is that the entire state of Connecticut has now been shut out of the NCAA tournament. Suck it, Nutmeg State.
