With so much drama in the L-B-C it's kinda hard bein'....former Gonzaga and current Long Beach State coach Dan Monson. The UC Santa Barbara Gauchos pulled out the Big West championship in dramatic fashion over the LBSU 49ers 69-64, denying us any further experience of the tremendous beard of Arturas Lazdauskas. Check it out here (#10 on the left). That is some lush, lovely stuff. A pity, really. No word yet on whether UCSB will be shut down before the tournament to save California's budget.
